Whisky is coming back to Edinburgh
Paddy Fletcher and Ian Stirling, close friends with a shared vision, devoted an entire decade to materialize their dream of the Port of Leith distillery. Their quest began upon the revelation that Edinburgh, once the Scottish capital of whiskey production 150 years ago, had no remaining distilleries.
This long-cherished project soared to new heights, quite literally, as their distillery stands tall at nine stories, a towering landmark reaching 131 feet (40 meters) in height—a first-of-its-kind vertical distillery in Britain.
