Onion the parrot has a Scottish accent and it’s just hilarious
Parrot Has A Scottish Accent – Onion, the African grey parrot who was named after the Still Game dog, has become an instant video star thanks to Cody Stoddart who shared some of her favorite moments from their home in Edinburgh.

What truly sets Onion apart from other talking parrots is her thick Edinburgh accent which even sounds uncannily like Mrs Doubtfire or a Scots granny!
Cody gushed, “She means the absolute world to me and is genuinely like my wee best pal.”
The bird-owner went on to explain why Onion’s videos have gone viral: “I donât think many people have heard a parrot with an accent so Iâm guessing thats why her videos have went a bit crazy.”
Onion has been known to imitate phones ringing, record and notification noises of an iPhone, as well as the beeping sound made by vehicles reversing. Though she might say the odd swear word here and there, Cody reveals that Onion has a few preferred expressions which she uses.
