The Sword Dance is a traditional part of the Halkirk Highland Games, an event that dates back to 1820 in Scotland. It is a vibrant display of skill and strength as participants jump over swords placed in an X formation. The dance is typically performed by two to four persons and accompanied by Celtic music played by traditional Scottish instruments like the bagpipes.
