For an American, road trips may not be the least stressful way to see Scotland. Many of the roads we traveled on were pretty narrow and bordered by stack-stone walls. So the driver and the passenger spend too much time just watching the road and not the gorgeous landscapes. If we are able to go back, we would do some driving and some public transportation.
