In a recent survey conducted by Which?, North Arran has been voted the top National Scenic Area (NSA) in Scotland by its members. Almost 5,000 participants shared their experiences and preferences regarding Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONBs) in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, as well as NSAs in Scotland.

North Arran chosen as Scotland’s top scenic spot

Survey respondents described North Arran as resembling “a different world,” awarding its breathtaking scenery a perfect five-star rating. Visitors can explore awe-inspiring landscapes, ranging from coastal vistas to majestic mountains, including the island’s highest peak, Goatfell.

North Arran received four stars for hiking options, peaceful surroundings, accommodation quality, and wildlife-spotting opportunities. The island is home to a diverse array of wildlife, from eagles to deer and seals.
