In June 2007, Tony Lee Glenn interviewed Kevin Patterson, the owner of Tweedswood Fishing. Kevin is a mason and a master fly fisherman with a cool Scottish accent. He and Tony talked about the movie Braveheart and then went to Melrose Abbey for lunch.
In 2020, Tony caught up with Kevin on a FaceTime call. Kevin is hilarious and gives great travel tips for Scotland.

Kevin Patterson is a master fly fisherman and mason with a cool Scottish accent. He is the owner of Tweedswood Fishing, a fly fishing school and shop in Scotland. Kevin has been fly fishing for over 30 years and is an expert on the art of fly fishing. He is also a skilled mason and has built many of the stone walls on his property.
Kevin is a passionate storyteller and loves to share his knowledge of fly fishing and Scotland with others. He is a frequent guest speaker at fly fishing clubs and events. He is also a published author and has written several books on fly fishing.

2. Visit Edinburgh
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and is a vibrant city with a rich history. Kevin recommends visiting Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and the Nationnal Museum of Scotland.
3. Visit the Scottish Islands
Scotland has over 700 islands, each with its own unique charm. Kevin recommends visiting the Isle of Skye, the Isle of Mull and the Isle of Arran.
4. Try Haggis
Haggis is a traditional Scottish dish made from sheep’s pluck (heart, liver, and lungs), oatmeal, suet, spices and herbs. Kevin recommends trying haggis at a Burns Night Supper, which is a celebration of the life of Scottish poet Robert Burns.
5. Drink Whisky
Whisky is a type of distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Scotland is home to some of the world’s best whisky distilleries, including Glenfiddich, Glenlivet, and Macallan. Kevin recommends visiting a whisky distillery and taking a tour.
