Sandwood Bay – Sutherland, Northwest Highlands

Found near the village of Durness, Sandwood Bay is accessible only by a 4-mile walk from the nearest road. The reward? A vast, untouched beach with pink-toned sand, high dunes, and a striking sea stack. It’s one of the wildest, most remote beaches in Scotland.

Calgary Bay – Isle of Mull, Inner Hebrides

Near Tobermory on the northwest coast of Mull, Calgary Bay offers a serene sweep of soft sand framed by hills. It’s a family-friendly spot with easy parking, walking trails, and scenic views across to the Isle of Coll.

St Ninian’s Isle – Shetland Islands
